MVP Discussion

Kobe vs Lebron

So this is an ongoing debate in the sports world, so I thought I'd break down what exactly makes an NBA MVP.

Scoring:
Kobe. I'll be real with it, if you shoot as much as this guy did in his career, you better be the best shooter in the league. Career-long ball hog is a big understatement. But keep in mind that Lebron sat out most of the 4th quarters during the past year due to the fact that he would build up such a lead in the previous 3 quarters. Get at me!

Passing:
Lebron

Rebounding:
Lebron

Defense:
Lebron

Entertaining:
Lebron

Raping:
Kobe

Shoes:
Toss Up

Team Mates:
Kobe

Team Mate:
Lebron

Verdict:
Looks like Lebron gets it. And I'll leave you with this final question. If Kobe and Lebron switched teams who would have more success? Lebron obviously could win a Championship with the Lakers, but Kobe would struggle to make it over 500 with the Cavs line up. It is going to be an interesting upcoming season now that the Cavs finally have a center.

Ok dex i love the posts, you had some good points in there but to me a MVP stands for a guy that carries his team. You can argue that both kobe and lebron carry there respective teams but lets be real, Kobe is surrounded by much more better players than lebron is surrounded with, Gasol,Odom,Fisher,Ariza (gone now). All lebron is surrounded with is perimeter players and he still puts up the numbers he puts up because he is unstoppable off the dribble. Dex although you are killin it with the below 500 thing if kobe was on the cavs. Remember the east isnt as competitive as the west and kobe wouldnt let his team go below 500 his will is too strong but i do agree lebronas mvp b/c without him we wouldnt even know the cavs existed, he makes his teammates better!

Who are contenders in the West?
Spurs were a bust in the playoffs, Denver was a surpriser, and I don't even know if the rest of the teams are worth mentioning.

Than you got the East with the Cavs, Magic and Celtics. I would easily take the top 3 teams from the East and predict a win over the top 3 teams from the West.

Solid post darkness, Lebron is definitely the MVP. His passing ability is unbelievable for a guy his size. He also can cover the court in about four strides which leads to him making ridiculous blocks. The one on Jason Richardson last year on the fast break is argued as the greatest block of all-time.

As far as Kobe going under 500 in the East, I think that's true. It's because Kobe is a biggity bitch and if his time didn't have a shot at winning the championship, he would start crying to everyone and ask to be traded. If he played hard he could probably beat half of the teams in the East by himself but he wouldnt with the Cavs line-up.

Finally, if that is the person that Kobe raped then I would have to give the category to Lebron. Who the fuck would want to rape that?
